I want to grow up!

Today is the oldest I've ever been, and the youngest I'll ever be again. In the poem “Aging” by Michelle Disser, describes that “aging is a continual process”, and compares the aging process “like a panther stalking [us]”. Some people, at a young age only wanted one thing; to grow up. They “first…consider [themselves] lucky to see the large cat, and bid it to come closer”. But soon realize that once approaching their adulthood, it wasn’t as much fun as they have planned it to be “and [they] wish it to stop, to retreat, but it continues”. But soon, they have become an adult, and can no longer go back to the joyous times of that of their childhood. Therefore, aging can not be stopped, whether we like it or not, we will always continue to grow and age. And hopefully during the whole experience of aging, everyone will learn useful life lessons.
